Approaching my Big 3 "0" birthday

I'm not afraid to say it out loud "I'm turning and approaching my Big 3"0" birthday in another 5 days time!"

And many people say that its another new phase of life.

Well, if a person's average lifespan is 90 yrs old, I've already passed 1/3 of it... Wowww....

I keep thinking... seriously, what have I been doing for the past 30 years?....

Still thinking.... hmmm.... no answer yet....

Moi BirThDay Gift

Yesterday went ViVio City with my sis to shop for my bdy present. Happened that the MAC HeLLo KiTTY Cosmetic launch was there. But guess its a private event as there were limited number of people there. The black HK balloons were sooo cutez! (We asked the SA for one after we purchased items, but she said can't give out as the management doesn't allow... haiz...) There were also male models half naked, with a huge HK face over their head. Looks funny and weird at the same time.

After browsing through the range of MAC HK makeup, I found that the eye-shawdow and lip colours are too bright for me. Thus, I ended up getting the mirror (which is super chic and nice. And its in BLACK! So unique.) and a lip-glass (the colour name is so cutezz "MIMMY", hahaha... Its a cheerful orangey colour which seems pratical as I usually use lip-glosses.)

The SA that assisted us was ultra friendly and eloquent.

Due to the excitement of seeing HK cosmetics first, I completely forgot to collect my eyebrow pencil at Shue Umuera, which I placed there for sharpening. Shit manz! No wonder this morning I woke up so early, simply can't sleep... like something has been forgotten, hmm.... Sianz... now wondering should I go down there today to collect it back or should I forgo it and buy a new one on monday.

Arrggghhhhh..... not the first time that I forget to collect liew... but Vivio seems so far away manz.... unless hubby drive me there loh. Hmm....

Dear hubby also said want to get me other items from this MAC HK range, but the prices seems exorbitant. (The mirror is $41 & lip-glass is $28)

Well, as usual, any products with an original Sanrio HK pictures, sure doesn't come cheap. The allure of this mouthless cat!

Guess I will ask hubby to get other gifts for me ba... have to think of his pocket also as we need to save save for our Honeymoon. I rather spend in Europe. But I must must really control my shopping urges. Coz yesterday, I ended up buying 2 clothing from Forever21 and some accessories from Diva. ;p No more shopping for the rest of the month liew.

Ok, some pictures to share share. *Grin*

Cute women's product

I wonder how many times does a women visit Watsons/ Guardian once a month to purchase all those daily neccessities.... Seems like these are the 2 common places in our country.

It does gets boring after a while as the variety of goods are so limited in Watsons. (U-hoo, Watsons staff, do u hear me?!) Wondering when BOOTS is coming to Singapore, as even Sephora is already here. (The last I went there, it was jam-packed with beauty wannababes.)

Just in case, you doen't know what is BOOTS. Its UK's leading pharmacy-led health and beauty retailer.

Anyway, as usual I went to Watsons this evening to buy my daily neccessities and I came across an interesting product.

The packaging looks quite cute though. Oh, I must pre-empt first, this is not for the guys! Hahaha....

Can u tell what it is? My 1st pic already tells it all! (^.^)

Ladies, if you bought it, don't let your bf mistakenly think its sweets and open while in the train hor, Lolzz....

FinaLLy .......

I've been having this same new year resolution almost every year. But it never materialise. Guess every random people has this on their list too.

And I finally get down to starting it yesterday, which was a good beginning!

I decided to start an exercise regime! Beginning from tiny steps, as I don't want to get overly ambitious.

I enrolled in the Aroma Stretch class, which was held once a week. Luckily got kakis (my current workmates).

You must be thinking that stretching exercises are very easy. Boy you are totally wrong!

I initially thought "how hard can it be compare to the pilates classes I went for previously?..." But I was wrong, I realised that stretching can be very demanding and tough, especially for us sedantary workers who sits all day in the office, with stiff neck and shoulders.

Thus, I really admire those ballet dancers, who are able to be so flexible and achieve all those difficult poses such as raising their legs, 90 degree, Straight! Without wobbling or doing a perfect split.

How many years of hard work they really take to train such good figure and tolerance. Hmm....

Anyway, today I feel my muscles abit sore but compared to after wakeboarding, which is like once in a blue moon, this is really nuthing.

And last night I told hubby that my tummy and thigh areas can feel the effect of tightness. He said "where got so fast one, u think miracle ya?" hahaha....

But seriously, I feel that my muscles got a good stretch. I feel quite good actually, to give my poor overwork, tense and stiff muscles a good workout.

Looking forward to next week lesson.

I'm also thinking whether I should rebond my hair or perm it again... my curls are straightening out and hair kindof messy, like having bad hair days most of the days.... sianz... But probably let my scalp recover first, as recently having some scalp inflammation. Seen Dr Ang and got some medicine from him. Must let my scalp rest before it undergoes any chemical treatment again.

NATAS Travel on 28-Feb-09

Baobei and me went to the NATAS Travel first thing first in the morning on saturday. Coz like typical singaporean, we were afraid of no parking lots available and super-crowded situation.

We reached there at about 10plus, 11am. Luckily, we managed to get a parking lot immediately. Just that the crowds were already packing in as concurrently, there was also the Mothers & Babies Fair just beside the NATAS Travel fair.

We followed the seemingly never ending quene of people and finally reached the ticketing counter, where we bought our entrance tix and went in.

It was both our 1st time to NATAS. Heard that for this round, it is even bigger than the last one held. We were abit lost and walked aimlessly, where at the same time, lots of gals and boys were pushing promo pamphlets in our faces. Till the extent that I found it annoying and told them that I've already got it.

The 1st stop, we went to CHAN Brothers. The lady that served us was still ok. The package that we were looking at was more expensive than we thought. And upon knowing that they only fly by Turkish Airline for this pkg, we decided to give it a miss and looked around for other agencies. We would only want to fly by SQ.

Then we went to ASa Holidays booth, thinking that it was SA Tours, haha... the names were so similiar that we got it mixed up.

Anyway, this was the very same travel agency that baobei's friends went for their honeymoon last year.

The staff who served us was Barry Yip. A soft-spoken guy, who also told us that he was a tour guide himself. He seemed very experienced as he ran through the itinerary of the package he was recommending to us.

He even claimed that ASa Holidays provides one of the best accomodation for Europe Tour compared to others. And they even provides ear-piece for those museums tours, whereby you can listen and watch at the same time.

And also, the tour looks comprehensive, as it covers quite alot of central Europe; Paris (France), Brussels (Belgium), Amsterdam (Holland), Cologne (Germany), Lucerne (Switzerland), Venice (Italy) (which Baobei said this is the place he must go.), Rome & Florence (The places which I must go!)

Plus, they fly by SQ! Ok, we were sold!

Thus, our Honeymoon desination is confirm!!! "Europe Here we Come!!! Yippie!!!" (^.^)

We took up their 14D European Splendour Tour, which is about S$3,888 per pax(excl Taxes). And we shall be departing in July!!!

I was amazed that we've made our decision so fast and we came out of the fair in less than an hour in there. Hmm...

After that, we ate our lunch at Pizza Hut Tampines Mall, followed by catching a show with my sister at GV. We watched "Marley & Me". It was a really heart-warming show, probably it depicts everyone's everyday life, things that all of us have to go through. The ending made me cried despite me controlling myself, so embarrassing, but I don't care liew. My sis also shed some tears. I still remembered I cried buckets when I watched The Quill last time. Luckily, I watched it at home then.

After which, we shopped for a while at Tampines Mall, and I bought 3 pieces of clothing at Cotton On. The 1st piece was a spaghetti strapped blouse with oriental flowers and birds print. The 2nd piece was a really good buy, at $15 (50% off), happy! I was thinking for this piece, I can wear it with a thin leather belt for work, and for next time, I can even wear it when I'm preggy, hee... I loved clothing which are versatile! The cardigan was also reasonable @ $29.90, and the material was quite thick, not those thin thin kind. They were selling at two for $50, but then after considering for quite sometime, I realised I do not need two cardigans of the same design.

My next happy buy was a necklace with a butterfly pendant, bought from 77th Street. I loved it immediately, even though it was abit ex at $18 for a piece of fashion accessory. But then, I thought I was fated to meet "it" and it was also the one & only piece left. Thus, it went home with me! (^.^)

It should have been a perfect day for us, but was almost ruined by an incident that happened when we drove to the hawker centre to buy our dinner.

While waiting to park our vehicle, there was an available lot just beside where we were waiting. But a lady driver infront of us wanted that lot. She reversed beside us and signalled for hubby to wind down the window. It was an auntie looking lady probably in her early fifties.

At first, she told us that she was there first. But hey, she was waiting way infront of us. You mean by waiting there, you cover the entire parking lot? Moroever, she wasn't anywhere near to the available parking lot. Doesn't she knows that "First Come, First Serve". We are also not snatching her lot what...

Then when my hubby told her the above reason, she decided to change her approach by asking if we can let her have the lot, as she needed to go upstairs for a short while. Hubby doesn't want to. Then finally she asked us "Then you want the lot anot?", which my hubby said "Yes!". And then she replied in a rude tone "Then, don't talk anymore." Before she started to drive away, I was appalled by her damn rude attitude and I told her off. "I think you are being very rude."

She heard it, and wasn't happy with it. She managed to get a lot opposite us. And when we've alighted from our car, walking towards the hawker centre, she approached me saying that she wanted to clear the misunderstanding that she wasn't being rude at all. And ironically, she said she does not wants to quarrel with me.

To which, I told her I do not want to talk to her and there was basically nuthing to talk about. But she was damn persistant loh, kept insisting that she wasn't rude at all, blah blah blah.... Finally, I couldn't stand it anymore, losing my cool, I raised my voice at her, telling her that "we do not want to talk to you anymore!" Then, she said that I do not have to raise my voice at her and that afterall she was our elderly.... WTF!!! Whats wrong with her seriously?!!! Why can't she just pretend that nuthing happens and just walked away?? That was when my hubby told her that she has also got her lot and what more does she wants? Then we walked away to go get our dinner.

But guess what??? She was actually waiting for us to come back. OMG!!! I think she seriously has a problem....

My hubby, afraid that I may get into a heated quarrel with her, asked me to get into the car first. And when he got in, that auntie approached us again, this time saying "Mr, I think you look like a very nice guy, but your gf ya so mean...." I couldn't contain myself anymore and I decided to let my inner bitchiness unleashed itself. I told her off immediately "Hey, if you still continue anymore, I would take a picture of you and put on the internet!" and she can go on blah blah blah... (I simply couldn't remembered what she said, as it was raining heavily at the same time.)

The last straw came, when my hubby said to her if she kept on pestering us, we would call the cops. That was when she was afraid and said a very loud "Bye", to which I also said to her "Thanks, Bye Bye!"

I find this whole incident really really ridiculous and absurd loh... she was the one being rude first but ended up accusing me of being rude... OH MY MY...

But seriously, I've learnt something really really important!

"Not To Lose My Cool So Easily" no matter how the other party provokes you.

I think I've fallen into her trap by losing my cool, count myself unlucky.

My HeLLo KiTTy Mahjong is here!!!

I collected my HK mahjong this afternoon from the seller. Luckily they provided free delivery to the nearest mrt station. Boy! It was indeed heavy manz....

I'm happy to finally receive it even though the price is steep for a set of mahjong. But hey, its Hello Kitty! The irony is, I do not know how to play mahjong, kekeke...

Now, I've something new to learn. Some pics to share share. (^.^)
